It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Ralph Coughlin.
For those students fortunate enough to ride on Bus 557, Ralph’s caring ways were a great way to start the morning and finish off the school day. This was never more evident than last year when he so emphatically pleaded with drivers to be aware of stopped school buses after a near miss on his route. Through these actions, Ralph was a crucial part of the heightened awareness around school bus safety that exists today.
Just last spring we were in awe of his amazing return to health after a successful kidney transplant – he looked like a million dollars! That makes it even harder to believe he is gone, having been back on the bus up until just a few short weeks ago. Ralph, you were certainly one of the great ones and you will be missed.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family at this time of loss.
